Welcome to my creative corner

Today I am very excited to inaugurate this blog that accompanies my new website, and I thought.... What better way to start than introducing myself?

My name is Rebeca, but you can call me Rebe. That’s how my close friends and family call me, and I love carrying that nickname with me.

I have always felt a special connection with spaces and the way they affect our emotions.

I consider myself a curious and detail-oriented person, and always looking for inspiration.

I love connecting with people, understanding their needs, and turning their ideas into reality. I firmly believe that good design should not only be beautiful, but also functional and, above all, reflect the essence of the person who lives it.

LET'S DO THIS TOGETHER

In this space I want to transmit my passion for design. Sharing ideas, trends, practical advice, and much more.

I am not a journalist, nor a writer, and for that reason my articles won't be perfect... But I’ll pour the same enthusiasm into them as I do with everything I create, because I’m passionate about my work. And because this blog is my way of bringing you (even in a very humble way) closer to the world of interior design. As well as inspiring you and helping you to see the potential of the spaces around us... Among many other things!

Where does my passion come from?

My passion for interior design started when I was very young... and it wasn't thanks to dolls or building blocks, it was thanks to The Sims!

Yes, that game where you created happy families, gave them perfect lives and made all their dreams come true. Or at least that’s what the instructions said, because I never actually played with the families. My true obsession was building their houses!

I spent hours (hours!) designing cosy living rooms, modern kitchens, luxury bathrooms and perfect gardens. Each house was a masterpiece... but as soon as I finished furnishing and decorating every nook and cranny, I abandoned my poor Sims to their fate.

My 10-year-old self knew what I wanted: to create spaces that told stories and where every detail mattered. And here I am, years later, doing professionally what started as a game. And, to be honest, sometimes it's still just as much fun!

What will you find in this blog?

WHAT YOU DO MAKES A DIFFERENCE, AND YOU DECIDE WHAT DIFFERENCE YOU WANT TO MAKE.

My professional career

To wrap up, let me tell you a bit about my professional journey.

While my passion for design started with The Sims, my formal training has been a true adventure of contrasts and balance.

I first immersed myself in the world of Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development, where I learned to work with millimetric precision, to understand materials as if they were old friends, and to create technical solutions that work like Swiss watches.

Then, my creative side said: “Hey, what if we start dreaming big?". So I took the leap into a Master's in Interior Architecture, where I honed my eye for detail, learned to play with light, colours and textures, and discovered how to turn a space into a work of art.

Combining these two disciplines has shaped the approach that defines me today: designing spaces that are not only unique in personality and aesthetics, but also technically flawless. Each project is a balance between the technical and the artistic, because I believe that the perfect design happens where the head and the heart meet.

This is just the beginning of a journey I want to take with you. If you are interested in design, looking for inspiration , or simply enjoy learning something new, this is the place for you.

I invite you to stay tuned for my upcoming articles and if there’s a question or a topic you’d like me to dive into, don’t hesitate to let me know!

Thanks for being here. See you in the next article!

A warm hug!
